Accessibility
A visa application is stressful enough. Nobody should be shut out of preparing one because of how our software is built.
Our commitment
We want VisaOS to be usable by everyone who needs it, including people who navigate by keyboard, use a screen reader, need larger text, or prefer reduced motion. Accessibility is treated as part of the design, not a later correction.
Our target
We are working towards WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We have not completed production accessibility testing and we are not claiming formal conformity. Until testing passes, this page states an intention and a status — not a certification.
Keyboard operation
Interactive controls are reachable and operable by keyboard, in a logical order, with visible focus. Modal dialogues — including the privacy preference centre — can be closed with Escape.
Screen-reader support
Pages use real headings in a meaningful order, labelled controls, and state announced through ARIA attributes where a control is a toggle or dialogue. Full screen-reader testing across the application workspace is incomplete.
Colour and contrast
Body text and controls are intended to meet AA contrast against their backgrounds. Colour is never the only way meaning is conveyed — status is always carried by text as well.
Reduced motion
If your system requests reduced motion, animation and parallax are disabled automatically and content appears without transition. The launch experience also carries its own reduced-motion setting.
Responsive layouts
Every page reflows from large desktop down to 360px without horizontal scrolling, without truncated legal text, and without a navigation overlay that can trap you. Legal content stays at a readable size on mobile rather than shrinking to fit.
Known limitations
We would rather name these than let you find them:
- Screen-reader testing of the full application workspace is not yet complete.
- Some interactive moments in the guided experience have not been verified with assistive technology.
- The guided demo relies on pointer interaction in places, and keyboard equivalence is still being improved.
- No independent accessibility audit has taken place.

Write to help@visa-os.com and tell us what you were trying to do. If part of the product is unusable for you, we will help you complete your application another way while we fix it — you will not be left stuck because of a defect of ours.
